The Pathfinders
Find the road.
First out, last in. They read the map, test the route and decide where the expedition can actually go.

10 crews. 90 days. Across America to find the people who have something worth teaching us.
America isn't a story someone can tell you.You have to go find it.
We're going to listen, learn and share what America knows.
Live figures begin when the expedition does.
We have never had more access to information. But much of what matters still lives inside people.

Find America is non-political and non-religious. We are not here to tell America what it is. We're here to listen, ask questions, and let people tell their own stories.
Everybody has something to teach.Everybody has something to learn.
A proposed route. America decides what happens between the lines.
Proposed route · illustrative positions · not live GPSPinch to zoom · drag to follow the road
Crew positions are illustrative. No live GPS is being shown. Direction, stops and waypoints are still being evaluated, and no dates have been set. When Find America hits the road, this same map becomes live.
You don't have to be in an RV to be part of the expedition.
Think we're missing something?
Tell us where Find America should go next. Every suggestion is read by a person, and nothing appears on this map because it was submitted.
An honest picture of the build. We publish states, not scoreboards — real numbers appear only when there is real information behind them.
Which one feels like you?
Nine crews you can claim, and one that never stays the same. These are working identities, not personality tests — pick the one you already can't stop looking at.

Find the road.
First out, last in. They read the map, test the route and decide where the expedition can actually go.

Find the story.
Cameras, questions and patience. They stay long enough for people to say the thing they meant to say.

Find the people.
They arrive early, knock on doors and know who in town everyone else says you have to meet.

Find a way.
Engines, generators, permits, weather. When the expedition stops moving, they are the reason it starts again.

Keep the people safe.
Health, safety and the long middle of a 90-day journey. They look after the people who look after everything else.

Find what could be.
Builders, technologists and young makers tracing what America is quietly inventing.

Find what we don't yet understand.
The crew with the fewest assumptions. They follow the questions nobody has answered yet.

Build what the road needs.
Builders, craftspeople, cooks and growers. They make things with their hands and teach as they go.

Keep the expedition in flow.
Provisions, schedules, logistics. Nothing they do is visible until it stops happening.

Who's in the hot seat?
This crew never stays the same for long.
The Wildcard RV is Find America's rotating seat for unexpected guests, Mentors, creators, experts, friends and people we meet along the road.
You may know who's inside tomorrow. Or you may not.

Maybe you belong here.
The people who ride for all 90 days are still being selected. No names, no portraits, no promises — the seats are genuinely open.
An unrevealed crew is a seat we're holding open on purpose — waiting for the right person to be named. The Wildcard is a seat we never intend to fill for long.
Crew members ride the long road. Wildcards arrive, ride a stretch, and hand the seat to whoever comes next.

Ten crews. Ninety days. One country.
Most of Find America happens off the road, in the places we're heading toward.

Recommend people, places and stories.
Ride virtually through livestreams and crew updates.
Crew announcements, field notes, new Nodes and the moments that matter — sent only when there is something real to say.

Invite the expedition to you.
Farms, food forests, ranches, communities, schools, businesses, retreat centers, cultural projects and private land can all invite the crews.
A teacher. A farmer. A grandmother. A mechanic. An inventor. A veteran. An artist. A scientist. A builder. A teenager.Someone carrying knowledge the rest of us should hear.
You already know them. The person your town would send if it could only send one. Tell us who, and where — we'll try to be there.

“You have to meet my grandfather.”
“There's a woman in our town everybody should know.”
“Come see what this community built.”
“Nobody talks about this place.”
America is already telling us where to look.
Every invitation, story and recommendation begins with someone saying: “You need to see this.”

Every few days the crews reunite, and everything they've collected gets put on the fire. One question runs the whole expedition.

I can teach
I want to learn
Every Mentor on Find Your Mentor started with one honest sentence. Every Finder started with curiosity, not a plan.
Every few travel days the crews regroup at a Find America Node — an open evening in a town along the route. Fires, food, local Mentors, stories, rest.
To be announced.
Cities, dates, hosts, capacity and RSVPs arrive with the route. Nothing is scheduled yet.

We want the people helping us Find America to understand how their support gets us there.

Total maximum crew allocation
These are planning allocations, not guaranteed expenditures. Actual costs will vary by crew. Sponsorships, owned vehicles, donated equipment, hosted stays and other partnerships may reduce actual costs substantially.
A 90-day expedition asks participating creators, experts and crew members to contribute an extraordinary amount of time, energy, creativity and personal commitment. Each crew planning budget therefore sets aside up to $15,000 to recognize that contribution.
To be exact: $15,000 is a planning envelope for an entire crew, not $15,000 per person and not a guaranteed payment to anyone. How much is actually available, and how it is shared, depends on what the expedition raises and is agreed with each crew before departure.
$100K
Ten RVs traveling across America do not automatically become one national expedition. The FYM Expedition HQ is the central operation that keeps Find America connected, coordinated, documented and visible.
Planning allocations. Not guaranteed final expenditures.
$50K
We are deliberately maintaining an expedition-wide reserve so that one unexpected event does not jeopardize the journey or force resources away from another crew. This is separate from the smaller flexibility reserve inside each crew budget.
Find America is an expedition into the unknown — but our financial planning should not be. Our projections are intentionally conservative.
A 90-day journey involving up to 10 crews, RVs, thousands of miles of travel, field production, technology, safety, community gatherings and a national support operation contains variables that cannot be predicted perfectly months in advance.
Fuel prices change. Vehicles break. Insurance requirements evolve. Campground and lodging costs vary. Production equipment fails. Connectivity on the road costs money. And sometimes the most important story may require us to stop, change direction or stay somewhere longer than planned.
Rather than build Find America around best-case assumptions, we are budgeting for the realities of the road. We would rather prepare responsibly and spend carefully than underestimate what it takes to do this well.
We are actively pursuing partners who may help provide RVs, fuel, connectivity, equipment, food, accommodations and other expedition resources. Every meaningful in-kind partnership can reduce the amount Find America needs to spend directly. A budget is permission to operate responsibly — not an obligation to spend every dollar.
If actual expedition costs are reduced through sponsorships, partnerships or donated resources, those savings strengthen the overall expedition and its ability to respond to what the road brings.

Support levels are ways to back the expedition — never a place on it, and never a benefit, perk or recognition. Selection for a crew happens only through the application process. Support goes to Find America as a whole; contributions are not tax-deductible and are not a charitable donation.
One country. Up to 10 crews. 90 days. Thousands of miles. And no predetermined conclusion.
A portion of funds raised will cover payment processing, fundraising-platform costs and the administration associated with running a campaign of this scale.
Find America is currently in development. These figures are planning estimates and may change as crews, vehicles, insurance, production requirements, route logistics, sponsorships and partnerships are finalized. Actual deployment of funds will depend on the amount raised and the operational requirements of the expedition.
Our intention is to report back on how expedition funds are deployed as Find America develops and travels.
The road lasts 90 days. What America teaches us should travel much further.
We are not promising a finished product. These are the possible outputs of a journey that hasn't happened yet.
You can help put Find America on the road — or help build the platform that continues long after the expedition ends.
Help put the crews on the road, document what we discover, support the infrastructure behind the journey, and bring Find America to people everywhere.
90 days. Up to 10 crews. One country. No predetermined conclusion.
Find America is a 90-day expedition. Find Your Mentor is the platform and community behind the larger mission. Become a Founding Member and help us build the place where people, knowledge, Mentors and communities continue finding one another long after the expedition ends.
Find America campaign contributions and Find Your Mentor Founding Memberships are separate financial pathways. Founding Membership purchases support the FYM platform and are not counted as contributions toward the Find America expedition fundraising goal.
Some people may choose to help put Find America on the road and become Founding Members of the platform behind it. They are two different ways of helping build the same larger vision.
A quiet field record of how you travelled with the expedition — kept for you, never displayed as a scoreboard.
